The art gallery is in a historic old building that was once a general store. With its beautiful high tin ceiling and open space, it is an ideal environment for art and music. In our sixteen years here there has always been something fun happening. Sometimes it's a planned reception, but often it's just an impromptu gathering of people who love the arts.

Ila Tafoya dancing at reception

Joyce creates just the right space for each event. Terry built a wooden stage for a folk dancer. Ila Tafoya graciously accepted our invitation to don one of her beautiful costumes to perform for an evening of merriment at one of our receptions. Her rapid, rythmic heel clicks on the platform reverberated throughout the rooms of the gallery. We thank her again for helping us celebrate another year here in the San Luis Valley.

Joyce painted this door within a door for an art auction benefit in Longmont. It was a sample. The winning bidder chose to have her real daughter painted on her actual room door.
